I’m preparing to speak at church next week and am looking at the heart of God in relation to healing. I have always loved Isaiah 61 as it speaks of all God desires for His people, a message of hope. I am excited that God wants to redeem His people, to buy them back from slavery to sin and set them free. v3 says how God has planted us as “strong and graceful oaks for his own glory”. I trying to get my head round this. Too often we see ourselves at best as little shrubs, but God sees us as so much more.
I want to be want God has called me to be. In Him all things are possible. In Ezekiel’s vision of the temple, the trees were planted by the river. If we want all that God has for us we need to be by the river, drinking of its goodness. The river is Jesus Christ, the living water.
I don’t really know where this blog is going, but just wanted to encourage you to be in the place of blessing; a place where God can move in your life.

Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you worship continually, able to rescue you from the lions?
