| This Sunday I felt God really wanted to speak to me on something. Straight away when our meeting started I felt what I describe as ‘God’s gravity’. This is when I feel God is wanting me to get on my knees and seek Him. I have felt it a lot recently, but its always at weird places or times, so in all honesty I haven’t done it. But as our teacher for the day, Liz Jones, began to share about Roots and Fruit, God was immediately firing His word direct to my heart.
In short God was saying how I need roots in my life/faith before He could do more in me. One of the illustrations used was how trees with insufficient roots can fall over, and I don’t believe God wants to set me up for a fall. Too often I can concentrate on growing upwards, producing fruits and looking healthy, without considering the root work that needs doing. So now I need to go deep, stretching out my roots and finding God’s water in new places. I figure God’s gravity is part of this as He leads me to seek Him in humilty, frequently, being dependent on Him. I am sure more on this will follow as Christ continues to perfect His work in me. If you want to hear Liz’s message (which I would encourage), it will be appearing here soon. |

Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you worship continually, able to rescue you from the lions?
