We had a rare occurance last night when Joshua woke up at about 4:30am. Normally he sleeps through the night, 9pm to 8am. We are very blessed. So this was rare and showed how used we had become to not getting up! It may be because of the clocks going back an hour, or the hectic day we had where his feeds were pretty erratic. We are hoping it doesn’t continue.

But the reason I am posting is that while Louisa was getting his bottle ready I was trying to soothe him (can’t sleep while he is crying anyway). In the end I got back into bed, laid Joshua next to me, both our heads on my pillow. I lay on my side facing him, he rolled over onto his side (very rare) but his thumb in his mouth and went to sleep. It was such a beautiful moment for me, lying there, my face about an inch from his face. Louisa wasn’t too impressed when she came in with the bottle, but when I tried to move him back to his moses basket he woke again so Louisa did get to feed him (lucky thing). I am just feeling very blessed that we have Joshua.
